The RING Govering Board supports the Department Directors by providing expert advice on technological and operational aspects, proposing appropriate actions for updates and technical and technological improvements aimed at ensuring the proper functioning, optimized management, and sustainability of the GNSS infrastructure.

The Directors of the INGV-Sections responsible for the management of the Network (IRP and ONT) also participate in the Board meetings. In the autumn of 2020, the RING Board held several meetings with the broader INGV scientific community that utilizes GNSS data to develop a strategic plan (SP) for the RING infrastructure. The SP 2021-2025 outlines key mid-term scientific objectives and identifies the necessary technological advancements to achieve them.
